About the Role:

The Information Technology team at Russell Tobin & Associates is seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Writer to support one of our top Technology clients.

Job Summary:

The main function of a Technical Writer is to create high-quality technical materials, such as equipment manuals, appendices, and operating and maintenance instructions. A successful Technical Writer is responsible for organizing, editing, and maintaining technical records and files.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Organize material and complete writing assignments according to set standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology.
  • Maintain records and files of work and revisions.
  • Collaborate with clients to establish technical specifications and determine subject material to be developed for publication.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science or English, journalism, or communications.
  • At least 10 years of experience in technical writing and communications.
  • Proven experience in creating documentation for a technical audience.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.
  • Ability to read and understand programming code.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Top 3 Hard Skills Required:

  1. Minimum 10 years of experience with cloud or other technical platforms.
  2. Minimum 10 years of experience with technical writing and communications.
  3. Minimum 10 years of experience with manual and instructional writing.
