About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Catering Captain to join our team at Compass Group USA. As a Catering Captain, you will be responsible for coordinating catering staff schedules, preparing and serving food at scheduled functions, and ensuring that all events are delivered, served, and cleared in a timely fashion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Determine workload requirements from catering orders and meet with function group leaders to discuss setup arrangements
  • Interact with customers and resolve complaints in a service-oriented manner
  • Instruct staff on work expectations for catered functions and help staff set up rooms to desired specifications
  • Assemble and deliver food and supplies to scheduled locations, serve food and beverages to guests, and return food, beverages, serving equipment, and utensils to the catering facility
  • Ensure proper presentation, portion control, and maintenance of serving temperatures, following HACCP standards
  • Maintain sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies, and utensils
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • A valid driver's license may be required
  • Must possess or be able to obtain a valid food handler's permit and/or alcohol servers permit where required by state law
