About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Superintendent to join our team at Simmons Foods. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of maintenance personnel to ensure the effective maintenance of our facilities and equipment.
  • Develop and implement maintenance plans and schedules to minimize downtime and optimize production.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and performance metrics.
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of maintenance personnel.
  • Collaborate with engineering and technical services to ensure seamless introduction of capital projects.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of maintenance services.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in a maintenance leadership role, preferably in a food manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical and refrigeration systems, electrical safety, and preventative maintenance programs.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
