Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Conduct pre-production setups, ensuring an efficient workstation layout and availability of all necessary materials, obtaining approval from authorized personnel.
  • Perform inspections on all tasks executed, ensuring compliance with quality standards.
  • Document intermittent quality checks, including SPC tracking and pull tests.
  • Immediately inform the Supervisor of any non-conformances in accordance with established procedures.
  • Work within the Quality System to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Strive daily to minimize and eliminate non-conformances.
  • Execute all tasks according to customer specifications, utilizing Orion's Quality Management System, blueprints, specifications, job plans, parts lists, SDS, and other relevant documents.
  • Engage in assigned processes, including but not limited to clocking, crimping, disassembly, kitting, packaging, part protection, part marking, sorting, terminals, tool setup, and bracket assembly.
  • Exemplify appropriate work ethics, behaviors, and performance as a model for Orion's clientele.
  • Support all members of the Manufacturing and Orion teams to achieve company, departmental, and personal objectives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
  • Familiarity with assembly and measuring tools, including handheld crimpers, strippers, contact insertion and extraction tools, scales, heat guns, and various small hand tools.
  • Ability to interpret visual aids and read engineering drawings and schematics.
  • Willingness to learn new skills and take on new responsibilities.
  • Capability to follow simple one or two-step instructions.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Previous experience in wire or general assembly is advantageous.

Wage Range:
The compensation for this position considers various factors, including required experience, skill level, prior training, education, and other business needs.
