Job Description
- Examine and treat animals to diagnose and manage health issues.
- Operate diagnostic equipment and collect samples, interpreting results to inform treatment plans.
- Advise pet owners on preventative care and treatment options, ensuring they are well-informed about their pet's health.
- Perform surgeries and prescribe medication as needed, always prioritizing animal welfare.
- Provide guidance on end-of-life care, supporting pet owners during difficult times.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
- Ensure compliance with veterinary ethics and relevant laws, policies, and procedures.
Requirements/Qualifications
- A DVM/VMD degree from an accredited institution.
- State licensure and eligibility for DEA/BNDD registration.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- A professional demeanor, consistently demonstrating courtesy and respect towards staff and clients.
- Ability to lift patients and equipment up to 25 pounds, with assistance for heavier loads.
