Purpose and Scope
The primary responsibility of this role is to oversee safety and compliance initiatives, ensuring a secure working environment for all personnel and visitors at our facilities. You will be tasked with developing, implementing, and assessing safety training programs, policies, and procedures to guarantee adherence to local, state, and federal regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote a culture of safety across the organization, ensuring that safety remains the foremost priority for all employees.
- Act as the company representative during OSHA inspections, conducting facility compliance audits, preparing reports, and recommending improvements.
- Stay informed about changes in safety laws and regulations, communicating updates to relevant parties and providing necessary training.
- Lead investigations into significant incidents, employing root cause analysis to identify issues and implement effective corrective actions.
- Ensure that all safety training and education are current and meet regulatory requirements, fostering a proactive safety culture.
- Continuously evaluate and enhance safety processes to align with both short-term and long-term safety objectives.
- Collaborate with the corporate safety team to conduct annual training, audits, and risk assessments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Safety or Engineering.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a Health and Safety role.
- In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations and compliance, risk analysis, and ergonomic assessments.
- Proven experience in conducting safety training and leading cross-functional teams.
- Strong interpersonal skills and technical report writing abilities.
