Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Head Athletic Therapist to join our sports medicine team at Tiffin University. This is a full-time, 12-month contract renewable annually.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality medical care to student-athletes, including injury prevention, evaluation, and treatment. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities
  • Prevent injuries and illnesses among student-athletes through education and conditioning programs.
  • Evaluate and treat athletic injuries in a timely and effective manner.
  • Develop and implement therapeutic plans to promote recovery and rehabilitation.
  • Collaborate with coaches, trainers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports related to patient care and team performance.
  • Perform administrative tasks, including scheduling appointments and coordinating logistics.
Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree from a CAATE-accredited institution (Master's preferred).
  • Certification or eligibility for certification by the NATABOC.
  • Licensure to practice athletic training in the state of Ohio (Board of OTPTAT).
  • Current First Aid, CPR, and AED certification.
  • A minimum of 0-2 years of experience in athletic training.
Compensation

The estimated salary for this position is $55,000-$65,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. Benefits include comprehensive health insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for professional development.
