Job Title: Construction Accounting Controller

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Accounting Controller to join our team at GPAC. As a key member of our financial leadership team, you will be responsible for providing strategic financial guidance and oversight to support the company's growth and success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support accounting staff in maintaining accurate financial records, including accounts payable, work in progress, fixed assets, human resources, payroll, and benefits.
  • Develop and implement strong internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
  • Collaborate with the project management team to ensure timely and accurate invoicing and collection of accounts receivable.
  • Provide financial analysis and insights to support business decisions and drive growth.
  • Oversee month-end close and general ledger functions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Maintain strong relationships with the company's bank and oversee cash management, including cash flow forecasting.
  • Coordinate year-end audit and tax filing with an outside CPA firm.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • 5-10 years of financial management experience, preferably in a construction organization.
  • CPA certification preferred but not required.
