Position Summary and Qualifications

The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) is responsible for ensuring and delivering high-quality, patient-centered care and overseeing all functions within the unit/department during their designated shift.

In collaboration with the management team, the CNC directs, monitors, and evaluates nursing care in line with established policies and procedures, serves as a resource for staff, and exemplifies a commitment to the organization's vision, mission, and values to enhance patient experiences and clinical outcomes.


Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient patient flow and high-quality care.

- Engage in ongoing assessments of the quality of patient care services in collaboration with the management team.

- Work with subject matter experts and other managers to foster a teamwork environment that enhances outcomes and service quality.

- Uphold a patient-first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary.

- Support facility engagement initiatives by implementing current nursing strategies, including employee rounding and hourly rounds.

- Provide recommendations for interviewing, selecting, and training new staff.

- Recommend and implement actions related to training and development, conflict resolution, personnel policy compliance, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions to ensure a competitive organization.

- Assist with staff scheduling and manage labor aspects according to patient care needs and productivity guidelines.
- Ensure proper inventory control and assist in managing supplies and equipment.

Qualifications:
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification required within 90 days of employment.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required within 30 days of employment.
- Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course certification required within 1 year of employment.
- NIH Stroke Scale certification required within 90 days of employment.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification required within 90 days of employment.
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention certification required within 90 days of employment.
- PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification required within 90 days of employment.
- STABLE certification required within 90 days of employment.
- Trauma Nursing Core Course certification required within 1 year of employment.
- Registered Nurse license.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
