ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Perform all tasks with integrity and professionalism.
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues effectively.
  • Repair critical aircraft components such as wings, brakes, and electrical systems.
  • Replace faulty parts using appropriate hand and power tools.
  • Inspect replacement parts for any defects.
  • Consult maintenance manuals to determine repair methodologies.
  • Utilize diagnostic equipment to test aircraft components.
  • Review completed work to ensure compliance with performance standards.
  • Document all maintenance and repair activities thoroughly.
  • Maintain cleanliness in the workshop as necessary.
  • Be available for weekend work as required.
  • Willingness to travel on short notice for work-related tasks.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

To excel in this position, candidates must be capable of fulfilling each essential duty competently. The qualifications listed below represent the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: A valid A&P certification is required, along with a minimum of one year of relevant experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact professionally with diverse individuals.
  • Ability to perform under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient technology skills.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: Occasional travel for conferences and training may be necessary, including overnight stays as dictated by the event schedule. Candidates must have reliable transportation for safe travel.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Proficiency in reading, analyzing, and interpreting various business documents, financial reports, and legal materials is essential. Candidates should be able to respond to inquiries from students and regulatory bodies and communicate effectively in writing.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Candidates must be capable of performing basic mathematical operations and interpreting data accurately.
