ResponsibilitiesThe Senior Consultant will be actively involved in a variety of projects, with a focus on the life sciences industry, within Baker Tilly's consulting arm.
The selected candidate will use their industry knowledge and technical, analytical, and research skills in support of our clients' project needs in the practice areas of life science, provider, and health plan.
The responsibilities will include:
- Participating in compliance auditing and monitoring, including assessing and monitoring compliance with industry standards, identifying gaps in processes and controls, and providing recommendations to clients.
- Evaluating risks across various areas, communicating findings and recommendations, and implementing compliance programs.
- Providing fair market value and key opinion leader tiering services, including FMV and KOL tiering for healthcare professionals, third-party FMV, and clinical trial FMV.
- Assisting with pricing transparency requirements and ensuring accurate reporting.
- Drafting client deliverables, including FMV analyses, assessment or audit reports, policies, and procedures.
- Analyzing large data sets, identifying and interpreting patterns and trends in the data, conducting research, and evaluating business processes.
- Managing multiple client-related priorities concurrently and resolving issues accordingly.
- Communicating project status regularly with project managers and monitoring project time and deadlines to ensure completion of the project within the estimated timeline and budget.
The successful candidate will have:
- An MBA, MPH, or master's degree in healthcare (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of progressive work experience in the healthcare industry with a combination of the following skills:
- Analysis of healthcare data.
- Research and analysis within the life sciences sector.
- Assessing health and performance of client businesses.
- Strong analytical skills, including proficiency in data manipulation and financial modeling.
- Strong writing skills, with experience in assisting with and/or authoring peer-reviewed publications.
- Proficiency with Excel, with data analytics experience and SAS experience highly preferred (or proficiency in SQL or R).
- Performance/operational improvement expertise, such as Six Sigma.
- Experience in the life sciences sector.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently.
- Time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple client-related priorities.
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Creative and innovative thinker.
- Willingness to travel up to 25% and ability to work non-traditional hours due to client engagements.
