Risk Management Director

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Risk Management Director to join our team at Fresno Unified School District. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the district's risk management program in the areas of workers' compensation, health and welfare benefits, property and liability, and insurance programs.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement risk management strategies to minimize losses and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Supervise and evaluate the performance of assigned personnel, including risk management staff and third-party administrators.
- Collaborate with district departments to identify and mitigate risks, and develop policies and procedures to prevent losses.
- Manage and analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement in risk management.
- Develop and implement training programs for district staff on risk management best practices.
- Master's degree in business administration, risk management, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in risk management, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex risk management concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with district staff, vendors, and external stakeholders.
- Strong knowledge of risk management principles, practices, and regulations, including workers' compensation, liability, and property insurance.
- Certification as a Self-Insurance Administrator (SIA) or a Certified Risk Manager (CRM).
- Experience with risk management software and systems.
- Knowledge of California state laws and regulations related to risk management.
- A competitive salary range of $152,401 to $178,963.
