Key Responsibilities- Provide daily care to residents, including assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as hygiene, grooming, dressing, and elimination/toileting needs.
- Document resident care and progress according to protocol.
- Maintain a safe and comfortable environment for residents, including answering call lights and alarms promptly, providing safety mats and low beds, and monitoring for malfunctioning equipment.
- Assist with resident nutritional needs, including meal delivery, tray preparation, and adaptive equipment.
- Support resident rehabilitative needs, including range of motion, ambulation, transfers, and proper body alignment.
- Report changes in resident physical, emotional, and psychosocial status to Charge Nurse promptly.
- Must be able to read and write English.
- Preferred: High school degree, GED, or Human Services degree (or coursework).
- Must be currently enrolled in a State-approved Nurse Aide Training Program.
- Knowledge of procedures and techniques involved in administering simple treatments and providing basic nursing care to residents.
- Ability to work under stress and relate to residents, staff, and visitors.
Finger Lakes Health offers a competitive salary of $17.00 per hour and a supportive work environment that values our employees' growth and development.
