Key Responsibilities- Monitor and ensure compliance with safety and health standards, regulations, and company policies.
- Promote a positive safety culture throughout the organization.
- Support the development and implementation of safety programs, procedures, and training materials.
- Conduct field safety inspections, investigations, and audits to identify and mitigate hazards.
- Develop and maintain records related to safety and environmental issues, including incident reports and hazard tracking systems.
- Collaborate with employees, management, and external stakeholders to resolve safety and environmental concerns.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments, best practices, and regulatory requirements to ensure our safety programs remain effective and compliant.
- Bachelor's degree in a safety-related field, such as occupational health and safety, industrial hygiene, or a related discipline.
- Certification in safety (CSP) or industrial hygiene (CIH) is preferred, but not required. Willingness to obtain certification in the future is essential.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a safety-related role, preferably in the electric and natural gas utility industry.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel up to 40% of the time.
- First Aid/CPR certification or ability to acquire.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
