Electrophysiology Nurse Specialist

Job Summary:The Electrophysiology Registered Nurse functions independently as a member of the Heart & Vascular patient care team, responsible for developing and implementing systems to ensure the smooth and efficient flow of patients for procedures in the Electrophysiology (EP) Lab.
Duties include patient assessment, administration of medications, moderate sedation, hemodynamic monitoring, and circulating during EP procedures and other procedures scheduled in our invasive procedure labs.
Responsibilities:- Provides age-appropriate care for the population served, considering growth and developmental phases, age-related factors, and patient safety.
- Uses appropriate resources for patients with special needs, such as language barriers, sensory problems, altered cognition, cultural, and religious needs.
- Ensures attention to patient's physical, spiritual, and emotional well-being.
- Documents patient care in an accurate, professional, and timely manner using Mac Lab, Soarian, MAK, and paper documentation forms according to policy and procedure.
- Performs clinical care in accordance with policy and procedure, prioritizing and organizing work effectively within assigned shifts.
- Communicates effectively during hand-offs, using SBAR, and delegates appropriately to unlicensed personnel and team members.
- Provides patient and family education in a manner that is understood, giving patients and families handouts, brochures, and resources for future reference.
- Registered Nurse - PA (Required)
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (Required)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Required)
- Bachelor of Arts or Science (Required)
- Nursing Training in hemodynamic monitoring and EKG interpretation 2+ years Experience in critical care nursing, and Cardiac Cath Lab
