Job Title: Host - CBD Provisions

Join our team at The Joule, a Forbes four-star boutique hotel in downtown Dallas, as a Host. As a Host, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing a warm and welcoming experience from the moment they arrive.

Responsibilities:
  • Greet and warmly welcome guests at the door, ensuring a positive first impression.
  • Escort guests to the dining room, introducing them to their server and ensuring a seamless dining experience.
  • Answer the telephone, book reservations, and move tables together to accommodate large parties, demonstrating flexibility and attention to detail.
  • Monitor the open dining sections of the restaurant for empty and cleaned tables, maintaining a clean and organized environment.
  • Estimate wait times for guests, monitoring the guest waiting list and ensuring timely service.
  • Ensure all guest needs are met to the required standard, providing exceptional customer service.
  • Correctly account for all payments taken, maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by leader, demonstrating a willingness to adapt and learn.
Qualifications:
  • High School diploma and/or experience in a hotel or a related field preferred.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written, with all levels of employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner.
  • Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying concerns raised by employees and guests.
  • Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a positive, attentive, friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner.
  • Flexible and long hours are sometimes required.
  • Light work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
  • Ability to stand during the entire shift.
