The ideal candidate will have Senior Subject Matter Expert (SME) level Linux/Windows/Networking/Security knowledge, experience and background that can support our industry leading SaaS cloud to maintain current customer environments as well as supporting our growing customer base. Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance. You do not need clearance prior to starting, however you must be a US Citizen for consideration.


Responsibilities:

· Act as a Lead to the Engineers and Administrators within the Environment

· Responsible for the installation, configuration and maintenance of Linux systems

· Install, configure, and tune Java Application servers including Tomcat, JBoss

· Troubleshoot Java applications and IoT devices on Linux, UNIX, and Windows

· Troubleshoot system hardware providing failure analysis and recovery.

· Troubleshoot network issues related to WAN and LAN protocols and other network accessible services (SFTP, DNS, SSH, VPN, Mail, Apache)

· Promote a secure environment with experience in Firewall and other security technologies.

· Installation of database servers (MSSQL Server, Oracle, MYSQL, etc.)

· Develop and research new automation and technology opportunities

· Operate in a production data center environment with minimal supervision

· Provide 24x7 Tier III Production environment support

· Drives Documentation of architecture and testing of infrastructure

· Interface directly and indirectly with client staff and 3rd party vendors both technical and non-technical.

· Supporting disaster recovery and business continuity processes, exercises and documentation.

Minimum Requirements:

· Bachelor’s Degree in MIS or CIS or equivalent experience

· Ability to provide Leadership to peer or junior engineers and administrators

· Ability to document processes, technical specifications and system builds

· 10 years of professional experience with Red Hat, or CentOS or combination of other Linux Distributions

· 5 years professional experience with WAN/LAN Networking technologies

· 5 years professional experience with Security Technologies including firewalls, Nessus, intrusion detection and prevention technologies

· Experience with VMware vSphere or Red Hat KVM based virtual machines

· Experience with hosting Java Web Application

· Experience with Cloud Management Software (OpenStack, OCI, Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services)

· Experience with continuous integration and deployment automation tools such as Jenkins, Hudson, and Nexus.

· Working knowledge of implementing and managing backup systems such as Bacula.

· Experience working in a highly dynamic and fast paced environment

· 5 years of experience with Apache web server

· 2-4 years of Advance scripting (Perl or Bash)

· 1-3 years Nagios or other IT Infrastructure monitoring software system

· Intermediate to Advanced understanding of physical/virtual networking required

· Advance analytic and troubleshooting skills for problems that span multiple domains (application, network, system, hardware)

Desired Skills:

· 5-10 years of Windows Server experience including domain administration

· Experience with building and supporting high performance/availability architectures

· 1-3 years of experience running MySQL Clustered databases

· Infrastructure provisioning tools (such as Docker, Chef, Puppet)

· Experience working in the Software Development Industry
