The Senior Nursing Assistant (NA) plays a vital role in providing high-quality care to residents in our long-term care facility. As a certified nursing assistant, you will serve as an experienced caregiver, assisting with daily living activities, providing psychosocial support, and collaborating with the nursing team to ensure exceptional resident care.
Responsibilities- Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to assigned residents under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN).
- Assist with basic health care needs, including bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, obtaining and recording vital signs, and providing psychosocial support.
- Transfer, reposition, and walk residents using correct and appropriate transfer techniques and equipment.
- Complete tasks related to food preparation and dining, creating a positive dining experience for residents.
- Document resident interactions and outcomes related to resident care, behavior, activity, and dietary.
- Communicate resident's changing condition and care-related concerns/responses to the charge nurse.
- High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required.
- Minimum age of 16. Two years' clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
- Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing.
- Satisfactorily completes yearly department-specific competency testing and maintains a record of continuing education credits for each year.
