About the Role

Huntington Hospital is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Psychiatric Services team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the delivery of world-class services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate patient care across the healthcare continuum, ensuring seamless transitions and optimal outcomes.
  • Supervise and manage patient care, utilizing critical thinking and nursing process to identify and address patient needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, working collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to achieve patient goals.
  • Provide education and support to patients and families, promoting health literacy and empowerment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure effective communication and coordination of care.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) considered with degree completion within 2 years.
  • Minimum 1 year of current experience in acute care area of expertise/equivalent service area, 2 years preferred.
  • Basic computer skills/experience with computerized documentation systems required.
  • Current unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by California Board of Registered Nursing (BRN) and Basic Life Support Provider (BLS) certification required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Current unrestricted Registered Nurse-Board Certified (RN-BC) certification.
