Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our Medical Office team in the Port Charlotte area. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will play a vital role in assisting patients with breathing and cardiopulmonary disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough interviews and examinations of patients with breathing or cardiopulmonary disorders.
  • Collaborate with physicians to develop comprehensive treatment plans for patients.
  • Administer various treatments, including chest physiotherapy and aerosol medications, to patients.
  • Analyze sputum, blood, and breath specimens to determine levels of oxygen, carbon dioxide, and other gases.
  • Measure lung capacity to determine impaired function.
  • Monitor and record patients' progress in our Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
  • Provide education to patients on medication use and equipment operation, such as ventilators.
  • Deliver exceptional patient care and adhere to our company's Standards of Behaviors.
  • Be prepared to work overtime as needed to ensure patient care.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy or a related field.
  • Credential of either CRT or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
  • 1-2 years of experience in Respiratory Therapy, including ICU/CCU ventilator management.
  • Certified in CPR in the State of Florida.
  • Completion of 16 CEU's every 2 years.
