Join Our Team as a Respiratory Therapist

Atrium Health is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare organization.

About the Role

This position is responsible for providing respiratory care to patients with a wide range of respiratory conditions, including chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), asthma, and pneumonia. You will work closely with our team of board-certified pulmonologists and pulmonary specialists to provide comprehensive pulmonary care.

Responsibilities
  • Provide respiratory care to patients, including oxygen therapy, aerosol therapy, and mechanical ventilation.
  • Conduct pulmonary function tests and interpret results.
  • Develop and implement individualized respiratory care plans for patients.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an AMA-approved school of Respiratory Care.
  • Credentialed as a Registered Respiratory Therapist by the National Board for Respiratory Care.
  • Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in the state of North Carolina.
  • 2 years critical care experience.
  • BLS certification required.
