Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Hemodialysis Specialist to join our team in Bryan, TX. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing safe and effective dialysis therapy to patients under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse.


Key Responsibilities
  • Assist other healthcare members in providing patient-specific education regarding disease process and access.
  • Welcome assigned patients and inquire about their well-being since their last treatment.
  • Evaluate vascular access for patency and report any unusual findings to the nurse supervisor.
  • Perform vascular access cannulation and report any difficulties or unusual findings to the nurse supervisor.
  • Initiate dialysis treatment according to prescribed orders.
  • Monitor patients' response to dialysis therapy and report any unusual findings to the nurse supervisor.
  • Obtain vital signs prior to reinfusion and perform all relevant functions necessary for the discontinuation of treatment.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A center for Medicaid/Medicare Services (CMS)-approved state and/or national certification as a Patient Care Technician or equivalent.
  • High School diploma or G.E.D. with completion of CMS timeline.
  • Previous patient care experience in a hospital setting or related facility preferred.
  • CPR certification and successful completion of FMCNA dialysis training program.

Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $55,000 - $65,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications, plus benefits including health insurance, 401(k) plan, paid time off, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
