About the Role:
This position reports to and is evaluated by Related Services within the Alaska Teacher Placement. The number of work days is based on the AEA negotiated pay scale. Information on the pay scale can be found online on our Labor Relations Department website. As a Special Education Professional, you will work collaboratively with regular education and special education staff in planning, supporting, and providing instruction in various school settings.

You will establish high standards of professionalism and diplomacy when working with students, peers, parents, private providers, related medical agencies, and community agencies. Additionally, you will serve as a resource to school staff, parents, and community members. This position requires a valid Alaska type C special services certificate with an endorsement for speech/language pathology or a related endorsement.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  1. A master's degree in speech and language.
  2. A valid Alaska type C special services certificate with an endorsement for speech/language pathology or related endorsement.
  3. Evidence of experience working with special education students.
