Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Outdoor Sales Specialist to join our team at REI. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, sharing your knowledge of outdoor products and services, and driving sales growth.

Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Assist customers with questions and concerns about products, memberships, and services.
  • Product Knowledge: Stay up-to-date on REI products and services, and share your knowledge with customers to drive sales and satisfaction.
  • Visual Standards: Maintain visual standards in the store, including merchandising and sales displays.
  • REI Sales & Service Training: Engage in ongoing training and development to improve sales and service skills.
  • Store Operations: Support store operations, including receiving and processing products, and maintaining a safe and organized store environment.
  • Loss Prevention and Safety: Follow REI loss prevention and safety procedures to ensure a safe and secure shopping environment.
Requirements
  • Experience: Previous retail sales experience, preferably in an outdoor or sporting goods store.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to think critically and solve problems in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Teamwork: Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
