Job Summary
Perma-Fix Environmental Services, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Plant Operations Specialist to join our team. This is a non-exempt position responsible for performing plant functions as assigned to receive and process mixed waste. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work in a fast-paced environment, and possess a strong understanding of safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:
• Operate lifting equipment, including forklifts and gantries, to receive and process mixed waste
• Perform warehouse activities, including offloading trucks, loading trucks, material handling, and general decontamination of equipment and areas
• Process bulk mixed waste fuels and perform waste fuel transfers, including associated valve alignments
• Conduct routine maintenance of equipment and components and package waste for off-site shipment
• Maintain compliance with DSSI licenses, permits, and procedures and perform additional duties as assigned

Salary:
$50,000 - $70,000 per year, depending on experience

Requirements:
• High School Diploma or Equivalent
