Job Description

At Pfeiffer Vacuum Inc., we are seeking a highly skilled Service Technician to join our team. As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for cleaning, installing, servicing, repairing, and refurbishing complex vacuum equipment and systems, including pumps, helium leak detectors, and other electronic instruments.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Adhere to all Quality and Safety procedures of the Company.
  2. Use a wide range of hand and power tools, including measuring devices, meters, and scopes.
  3. Perform documentation, such as daily timesheets, service documentation, HR compliance updates, safety training, and certification.
  4. Tasks in the primary clean room include taking readings of failure codes and warnings, disassembling equipment, confirming customer complaints, decontaminating equipment, and assisting with equipment maintenance.
  5. Install, service, repair, and refurbish complex equipment and systems in a service center.
  6. Install and repair equipment in customer vacuum pumps.

Requirements:

  • 0-3 years of related experience in the Service and Repair field of electronic or electro-mechanical equipment or with Pfeiffer Vacuum.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the assembly of such equipment.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.
  • Basic mathematical skills, including the ability to accurately use scales and measurement equipment.

Working Conditions:

The physical demands of this job require walking, sitting, bending, reaching, mobility, and frequent lifting. Work requires computer skills, attention to detail, and accuracy. Strong interpersonal skills, the ability to balance multiple tasks, and stress associated with the duties and responsibilities of this position are essential requirements.
