About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team at Capitol Ridge at Providence. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality nursing care to our residents in a warm and comfortable environment.

Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Communication: Accurately assess, communicate, and document residents' status, observing and reporting any significant changes in behavior and health to the Resident Care Director, physician, family, and Executive Director.
  • Leadership and Supervision: Direct and supervise the daily work assignments of Resident Care Assistants, closely mentoring and guiding Lead Resident Care Assistants in all aspects of their job.
  • Care Coordination: Coordinate care needs with community providers via an effective case management process, effectively balancing service demands with supporting resident independence.
  • Emergency Response: Respond to emergencies and personal emergency response systems, knowing when to call for backup.
  • Prevention of Abuse and Neglect: Recognize and assist in the prevention of elder abuse, neglect, and exploitation, reporting to appropriate sources per state regulations.
Requirements
  • Current State License: Current state license as an LPN or RN and CPR certification.
  • Education and Experience: Graduate of an approved LPN or RN program (per state requirements) and a minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience working as a nurse, preferably with the elderly in a paid or volunteer position.
