About the Role

Gray Construction is seeking a highly skilled Project Controls Specialist to join their team in a dynamic and innovative environment. As a key member of the project management team, you will be responsible for assisting in the development of project cost work breakdown structures, job cost setup, and project invoice schedules.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in developing project cost work breakdown structures and job cost setup
  • Develop project invoice schedules
  • Coordinate subcontractor prequalification enrollment
  • Manage project cost tracking logs
  • Manage subcontract and vendor invoices
  • Prepare project change requests and customer change orders
  • Prepare commitment change orders
  • Prepare subcontract and PO requisitions
  • Trend project costs and report deviations from plan
  • Complete project cost segregation for project close-out
  • Manage project tax incentives and reporting where applicable
  • Prepare projects for close-out, including review of commitments, cost, and contract values
  • Provide support for job cost audits and project-specific cost reporting requirements
  • Prepare bi-weekly project financial reports
  • Develop, update, and monitor job progress using QMS programs, including scheduling, estimating, and budgeting
  • Perform quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and bid solicitations
  • Support project managers in reviewing and approving invoices and change orders
  • Attend weekly job site meetings and assist in the preparation of various reports
  • Assist in the organization and maintenance of job files to ensure continuity of workflow
  • Submit verbal and written reports on project status to supervisors
  • Communicate effectively with customers, direct consultants, and subcontractors on projects
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in accounting, mathematics, construction management, finance, or a related field
  • Minimum of three years of related experience
  • Basic computer skills, including the ability to utilize word processing, spreadsheet, CMS, and email applications
  • Working knowledge of scheduling applications
  • Energetic, self-motivated individual with a passion for collaboration and professional development
