Job Summary

Vulcan Materials Company is seeking a skilled CDL Ready-Mix Truck Driver to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for safely operating a ready-mix truck to deliver concrete to construction sites.


Key Responsibilities

Promote Safety: Prioritize safety throughout the operation, adhering to MSHA and Vulcan standards.


Operate Equipment: Safely operate the ready-mix truck, receiving loads, evaluating slump, and driving to job sites.


Inspect and Maintain Equipment: Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections, completing daily mobile equipment reports.


Document and Record Information: Complete all required paperwork, ensuring organization of documents.


Coordinate with Dispatch: Work closely with dispatch, maintenance, and plant management to facilitate information flow.


Perform General Physical Activities: Perform physical tasks such as cleaning the vehicle, climbing a ladder, and lifting up to 50 pounds.


Requirements

Skills You'll Need:


Commercial Driver's License: Possess a valid CDL and have a valid DOT physical or the ability to obtain one.


Knowledge of Best Practices: Knowledge of general principles and practices of operating and servicing ready-mix trucks is preferred.


Flexibility: Willingness to work overtime and extended hours, depending on customer and company demands.


Customer Focus: Ability to take responsibility for customer relationships and represent Vulcan on job sites and while transporting product.


Clean Driving Record: Possess a clean and safe driving record and the ability to safely operate and control equipment.
