About the Role

We are seeking a skilled CDL Ready-Mix Truck Driver to join our team at Vulcan Materials Company. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for safely operating a ready-mix truck to deliver construction materials to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Promote a culture of safety throughout the operation, adhering to MSHA and Vulcan standards.
  • Operate ready-mix truck in accordance with federal, state, and Vulcan regulations, ensuring timely delivery of materials to job sites.
  • Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections, accurately completing daily mobile equipment reports.
  • Document and record information, completing all required paperwork to ensure organization and compliance.
  • Coordinate with dispatch, maintenance, and plant management to facilitate the flow of information and provide excellent customer service.
  • Perform general physical activities, including cleaning the vehicle, inspecting loads, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
Requirements
  • Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and valid DOT physical or ability to obtain one.
  • Knowledge of general principles and practices of operating and servicing ready-mix trucks, with experience with Department of Transportation rules and regulations preferred.
  • Flexibility to work overtime and extended hours, with ability to work outside in various weather conditions and tolerate loud noises.
  • Customer focus, with ability to take responsibility for customer relationships and represent Vulcan on job sites and public streets.
  • Clean driving record and ability to safely operate and control equipment.
