Physical Demands:
Exposure to elevated noise levels, dust, vibrations, and chemical vapors. Must be able to lift up to fifty (50) pounds without mechanical aid. Capable of bending, twisting, squatting, and lifting. Must access and work in all areas of the aircraft, including confined spaces. Ability to climb ladders and platforms and work at heights up to fifty feet.

Key Responsibilities:

Responsible for the removal, disassembly, cleaning, inspection, repair, and reinstallation of aircraft cabin furnishings and equipment, including galleys, lavatories, seats, overhead compartments, panels, and carpeting.

Perform repairs, adjustments, and installations of aircraft seating.

Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, engineering documents, service bulletins, aircraft manuals, and catalogs, and execute complex cabin reconfigurations.

Possess general knowledge of tools and understand how to read a micrometer, depth gauge, or dial calipers. Identify interior fasteners and determine required grip lengths, with a basic understanding of their installation methods. Understand and correctly apply basic sealing procedures for aircraft structures. Identify pressurized areas of the aircraft and open and close sections as needed for inspection. Work performed must comply with FAA and customer standards. Adhere to standards of behavior and appearance expected of all staff members. Seek clarification as needed to enhance knowledge or skills. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Remove any foreign objects generated during repairs. Accurately record work hours as directed by a supervisor. Follow all safety protocols consistently. Comply with all applicable AAR Aircraft Services policies and procedures.

Stay informed about such policies and procedures and seek clarification from a supervisor for any uncertainties.

Take appropriate actions to preserve company and customer assets, whether monetary or otherwise.

Attend scheduled work-related training sessions. Perform additional tasks as assigned by a supervisor.

Qualifications:
General mechanical aptitude with the ability to comprehend and follow instructions.

Experience and Education Requirements:
High school diploma or G.E.D. preferred. A minimum of three years of experience in aircraft cabin work is required. An FAA Airframe license in good standing is preferred but not mandatory.
