Program Budget Analyst with Nuclear Expertise

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Program/Budget Analyst to support the Stockpile Sustainment Directorate for the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA). The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in program planning, budgeting, and execution.

The successful candidate will serve as the primary interface between the program's Federal Program Manager, Program Engineers, and the NNSA Defense Programs (DP) budgeting system. Key responsibilities include:

  • Serving as the primary interface between Project Engineers and the DP budgeting system.
  • Compiling programmatic monthly, quarterly, and end-of-year project reports for use by Project Lead Engineers.
  • Analyzing monthly, quarterly, and annual reports on budgetary issues.
  • Managing annual, quarterly, and other periodic reporting requirements, including program reviews, providing programmatic input, and coordinating NNSA site meetings associated with program deliverables.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Keeping records on the status of portfolio and program budget changes, including allocation/reallocation, expenditures, comparison of earned value management system information to identify issues and suggest corrective action.
  • Serving as the primary interface between the Modernization Programs Portfolio and the Office of Stockpile Management on budget narratives, budget presentations, SSMP drafts, and other budgetary policy issues.
  • Analyzing, reporting on results, and tracking action items on technical projects undertaken by the national security laboratories and nuclear weapon production facilities in nuclear weapon component development.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Program/Budget Analyst to contribute to the success of the NNSA's Stockpile Sustainment Directorate. To be considered for this role, you must have an active DOE Q clearance or active DOD Top Secret clearance with a recent investigation.

A bachelor's degree with 8+ years of related experience is required, although a high school diploma with additional related experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, along with proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
