Job Title: Parts Washer/Painter

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a skilled Parts Washer/Painter to join our team at Wyoming Machinery Company. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for cleaning and painting parts to ensure they meet our high standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clean all designated parts and maintain all cleaning equipment assigned to the DTC and wash bay area.
  • Hand clean some parts as required.
  • Operate cranes.
  • Paint components.
  • Maintain a clean work environment using mops and detergents.
  • Coordinate the workflow through the wash area so as to provide quick parts cleaning for mechanics so as to not disrupt production.
  • Coordinate the cleaning of items from other shops in a timely manner.
  • Help fill in for the toolroom or help with toolroom.
  • Work with a positive attitude and with a spirit of cooperation.

Requirements:

  • High school education or equivalent.
  • Basic arithmetic.
  • Write and speak English and possess appropriate communication skills.
  • Exposed to handling heavy equipment on a regular basis.
  • Proper cleaning of heavy equipment.
  • Understand the general concepts of maintaining the equipment they are responsible for.
  • Able to diagnose and make repairs or recommend repairs needed on previously mentioned machinery.
  • Able to write necessary service reports in a way that can be easily understood.
  • Able to read and follow safety procedures concerning the work environment.
  • Able to understand written or verbal directions concerning the handling of hazardous materials.
  • Good understanding of how to properly lift and move objects in a safe manner to avoid personal harm to anyone or damage to equipment.

Working Conditions:

  • Walk and/or stand 5-8 hours on concrete floor in a shop that may be very warm or cold.
  • Sit 1- 3 hours.
  • Use hands for simple grasping, pushing, pulling and fine manipulation.
  • Use feet frequently in repetitive movement.
  • Frequently bend, squat and climb.
  • Exposed to dirt, grease, dust, noise and other elements within the work environment.
  • Heavy lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Use of all necessary personal protective equipment.
  • Work in elevated position, climbing, bending, stooping and squatting.
