Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Revenue Accounting Specialist to join our team at GLG. As a key member of our Accounting department, you will be responsible for facilitating the month-end close process for the revenue cycle, including account reconciliations and analyses for related balance sheet accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and Approve Revenue Activity: Review and approve project-based and survey revenue activity, with a focus on accuracy and proper cutoff for revenue recognition.
  • Time-Based Contracts: Review and approve time-based contracts for proper and timely revenue recognition.
  • Non-Standard Transactions: Process non-standard transactional-based revenue activity.
  • Partner with Business Stakeholders: Partner with business stakeholders on inquiries regarding revenue entries.
  • Month-End Close: Prepare analyses and journal entries to facilitate the month-end close.
  • Account Analysis and Reconciliation: Provide detailed account analysis and reconciliation for various balance sheet accounts, including deferred revenue and other revenue-related accounts.
  • Supporting Documentation: Prepare supporting documentation as requested by audit firms.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting: Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • Revenue Recognition Experience: At least one year of relevant revenue recognition accounting experience.
  • U.S. GAAP Knowledge: Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, specifically for revenue recognition topics.
  • Organizational Skills: Must be highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks at one time.
  • Communication Skills: Must have excellent communications skills and the ability to develop effective working relationships across the company's operations.
  • Technical Skills: Strong Excel skills required. Experience with Great Plains, and fluency in SQL a plus.
