  • Room patients and prepare them for examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth and efficient patient flow.
  • Document patient information, including medical history, reason for visit, and vital signs.
  • Administer medications and injections, monitor patient response, and document treatment outcomes.
  • Assist clinical staff with examinations and procedures, providing support and ensuring patient comfort.
  • Triage walk-in patients and emergency calls, determining the need for immediate appointments or emergency services.
  • Check blood pressures for walk-in patients in a timely manner.
  • Under the supervision of a physician, telephone and/or ERx prescription refills to pharmacies and document in the patient's chart.
  • Schedule referral appointments, CT scans, MRI, and other procedures as needed.
  • Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans or procedures.
  • Prepare exam and/or surgery rooms with sterile instruments, ensuring a safe and clean environment.
  • Obtain lab samples, complete lab slips, and other forms as necessary.
  • Follow universal precautions to protect yourself and patients.
  • Extract incoming medical records into patient charts, documenting and scanning information in respective categories.
  • Stock exam rooms with supplies.
  • Clean and sterilize medical instruments according to OSHA guidelines.
  • May assist with performing blood draws.
  • Relate to the public regardless of racial, ethnic, and economic status.
  • Promote and believe in providing quality healthcare services and education to the community in a convenient and compassionate manner.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3-6 years of experience in a medical setting preferred.
  • Certification/License/Registration:
    • Basic Life Support (BLS)
    • MA Certification
