Mechanical Quality Control Inspector Job Description

GSE Dynamics, Inc., a leading engineering and manufacturing company, is seeking an experienced Mechanical Quality Control Inspector to join our team.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct quality inspections of raw materials, products, and supplies to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Perform first-article inspections using various methods, including measuring dimensions, testing functionality, and reviewing specifications.
  • Use complex testing procedures and equipment to ensure quality and safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of testing, information, and metrics.
  • Monitor equipment usage to ensure safety and maintenance.
  • Prepare and submit reports to quality management.
Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of aerospace manufacturing processes and methods.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and instructions.
  • Ability to work independently with hand-measuring equipment, including calipers and micrometers.
  • Ability to perform independent first-piece inspections on sheet metal parts, machined parts, and assemblies.
  • Ability to lift heavy materials (up to 40 lbs.).
  • Computer skills are essential.
  • Working knowledge of CMM inspections.
  • Familiarity with composite materials is a plus.

  • U.S. Citizen.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
