Job Title: Geospatial Mapping Specialist

Salary: $70,000 - $90,000 per year (depending on experience)

About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled Geospatial Mapping Specialist to join our team at Encompass Services, LLC. As a key member of our geospatial mapping department, you will play a critical role in creating accurate and reliable maps for construction projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Create as-built drawings and databases of construction projects using AutoCAD Civil 3D and Trimble Business Center software
  • Process field survey data for use in geospatial mapping applications
  • Prepare maps of new project areas for inclusion into GIS
  • Maintain the horizontal and vertical control database
  • Prepare alignment files (.RXLs) utilizing Trimble Business Center
  • Check daily field notes for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with company format
  • Assist field crews with calculations, create base files, and maintain current versions
  • Determine that all project survey tasks have been completed, reviewed, processed, and documented in compliance with project requirements
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in geospatial mapping
  • A basic understanding of survey procedures and data collection
  • Ability to work on multiple projects using raw field data and computer data
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D and Trimble Business Center
  • Extensive knowledge of Trimble GPS units and data collectors is preferred
