Position Overview

Sign-on Bonus: $2,000 (for first-time hires).

The Senior Automotive Technician role demands exceptional talent and technical proficiency to diagnose complex drivability and electrical systems. Strong leadership and mentoring abilities are crucial for guiding a team towards enhanced customer service and satisfaction. The compensation structure is performance-based, with a pay rate of $28.61 per hour.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair vehicles to manufacturer specifications.
  • Service brake and hydraulic systems, exhaust systems, primary and advanced fuel ignition, electrical systems, suspension and alignment, air conditioning, and computer systems.
  • Effectively communicate technical diagnoses and necessary repairs to customers who may not have mechanical knowledge.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in automotive technology through ongoing paid training.
  • Support fellow technicians in executing technical tasks.

Qualifications:

  • A valid automobile driver's license is required at all times, with the ability to operate both customer and company vehicles.
  • A minimum of 3 years of automotive repair experience is necessary, along with completion of a Vocational-Technical School program in a related field or equivalent skills demonstrated through third-party certifications.
  • A.S.E. certification in at least three areas (A1-A8) is mandatory. New hires with comparable qualifications will have up to two years of employment to meet this requirement.
  • Maintain compliance with Federal, State, and Local certification and licensing requirements where applicable.
  • Possess strong communication skills to relay technical information to non-technical individuals.
  • Basic reading, writing, and mathematical skills are essential.
