Student Internship - Procurement

We are seeking a motivated student to engage in our School To Work program, focusing on Purchasing.

Key Responsibilities:

The selected candidate will be part of the Cummins-Meritor Cooperative Education initiative, aimed at students pursuing a bachelor's degree in Business Management, Supply Chain, Data Analytics, or related disciplines. This role will primarily involve assisting the Indirect Purchasing team across various projects, enhancing procedures, and collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders. The internship will provide valuable real-world experience in material management and data analytics within a business-to-business context.

  • Develop Request for Quote (RFQ) packages to facilitate cost-saving initiatives.
  • Assist in the transition to Cummins operational processes.
  • Regularly maintain and update Oracle purchase orders.
  • Conduct research and prepare supplier addition forms for new global suppliers.
  • Aid in the requisition process for cross-functional teams.
  • Provide support to Indirect Team members as required.
