Position Overview

In the role of Facilities Maintenance Specialist, you will be integral to the upkeep of our organization's equipment and facilities. You will operate autonomously, focusing on preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs, while also recommending enhancements and sourcing materials as necessary. You will report directly to the Vice President of Maintenance & Operations and work in conjunction with various departments to maintain our operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct operations and maintenance tasks within a mid-sized facility.
  • Diagnose and rectify equipment malfunctions.
  • Prioritize safety and comply with established protocols.

Essential Duties

  • Ensure all equipment and facilities are functional and secure.
  • Carry out repairs and maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and construction systems.
  • Propose enhancements and acquire necessary supplies.
  • Anticipate maintenance requirements and strategize accordingly.

Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of experience in facility upkeep and repair.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations, industry standards, and building codes.
  • Skilled in the use of various tools and equipment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities.
  • Capable of manual labor throughout the work shift.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, kneel, bend, and reach during work hours.
  • Capacity to lift and carry items weighing up to 40 lbs.
  • Adaptability to diverse work environments and conditions.
  • Must possess 20/20 vision or correctable vision.
