Emergency Medical Technician (Full-Time)
POSITION SUMMARY:
We are seeking dedicated Emergency Medical Technicians who are committed to providing compassionate, high-quality care and both basic and advanced medical assistance to our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
Evaluate each emergency situation to determine the most effective response while adhering to established protocols.
Employ your EMT skills with medical apparatus and procedures, including defibrillators, EKG monitors, oxygen delivery systems, and intravenous therapies to administer advanced medical treatment.
Serve as the team leader on emergency scenes, taking charge of scene management and unit operations as required.
Operate the ambulance during emergency responses.
Collaborate effectively and professionally with all healthcare and public safety personnel, as well as fellow EMTs.
Responsibilities:
Participate in community outreach initiatives to uphold the AMR reputation and foster strong community relationships.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
Education/Licensing/Certification:
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid California Driver's License
- Ambulance Driver's License (issued by DMV)
- Medical Examiner's Card
- State of California EMT License
- CPR Certification (AHA ONLY, Health Care Provider. Handwritten cards are not acceptable)
- ACLS Certification (AHA ONLY, handwritten cards are not acceptable)
- PALS Certification (AHA ONLY, handwritten cards are not acceptable) or PEPP
- Driving record in compliance with AMR Safety and Driving policy (proof required if conditional employment is offered).
- Completion of ICS courses: IS-100B (ICS 100), IS-200B (ICS 200), IS-700A (NIMS), IS-800B (NIMS)
