As a medical professional, you will be part of a team that shares a legacy of humankindness with Dignity Health, one of the nation's five largest health care systems.

Responsibilities

As an Emergency Medical Specialist, you will administer patient care to designated patients under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse. You will perform a variety of direct and indirect patient care duties in accordance with the prescribed plan of care, centered around activities of daily living. You will utilize established hospital standards of care and practice to guide patient care activities and maintain patient safety and confidentiality during the hospital stay.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of one year to two years of Emergency Medical Technician experience.
  • Has competency skills related to the Scope of Practice of Emergency Medical Technician I (EMT-I) as outlined in Title 22 Section 100063.
  • High School graduate or equivalency and successful completion of an EMT-I course.
  • BLS certification required.
  • EMSA license required.
  • Basic EKG certification preferred.
  • Point of care testing preferred.
  • Phlebotomy certificate preferred.

This position is represented by SEIU.

Pay Range

$31.35 - $39.17 /hour
