Job Summary

The Certified Surgical Technologist is a key member of the surgical team, responsible for ensuring a safe and efficient operating room environment. As a Surgical Technologist Specialist, you will be responsible for preparing equipment and sterile instruments, maintaining asepsis, and assisting surgeons during procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare sterile setup with instruments, supplies, equipment, and solutions/medications for cases as needed.
  • Assist surgeons in all types of procedures as required.
  • Perform appropriate counts as established by policy and procedure.
  • Review surgeon preference cards.
  • Maintain aseptic environment for patients.
  • Maintain clean, safe, and functional operating room environment and equipment.
  • Assist professional personnel in the control of supplies and medications.
  • Ensure proper care and maintenance of all surgical instrumentation and equipment used.
Requirements
  • Minimum Level of Education – Associates Degree or Equivalent
  • Certified Surgical Technologist Certification and BLS Certification
  • 1-2 years of experience; preferred but not required.
  • Technology: ADP, Microsoft Office
