Job Title: Certified Surgical Technologist

Community Health Network is seeking a skilled Certified Surgical Technologist to join our Maternity Services team at Community Hospital South in Indianapolis, IN.

About the Role:

The Certified Surgical Technologist will provide aid in exposure, hemostasis, closure, and other intraoperative technical functions to help the surgeon carry out a safe operation with optimal results for the patient.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide preoperative and postoperative care to facilitate proper patient care
  • Perform functions during the operation under the direction and supervision of the surgeon
  • Provide patient care to maternity patients
  • Assist with stocking and inventory management
Requirements:
  • Associates degree in Surgical Technology from a CAAHEP accredited program of Surgical Technology preferred
  • 1 year of Operating Room experience preferred
  • Certified Surgical Technologist through NCCT or NBSTSA preferred or required within 6 months of hire
  • Strong written, verbal and nonverbal interpersonal and professional communication skills
  • Demonstrates ability to prioritize, organize and multi-task with a high degree of responsibility, responsiveness
