This position is responsible for performing basic Medical Assistant duties in a Primary Care setting.
Key Responsibilities- Facilitate unit operations by managing patient flow and assisting with front desk duties.
- Collect and verify patient payor information and other patient documentation.
- Perform other duties as assigned and comply with all policies and standards.
- Completion of a Medical Assistant Program is required.
- Clinical experience as a Medical Assistant is preferred.
- Able to communicate effectively with people from varied socioeconomic backgrounds.
- Able to organize changing work assignments.
- Standing and walking frequently.
- Lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling frequently.
- Climbing occasionally.
Annual training and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.
