Job Title: Principal Engineer - Structural Analysis

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Engineer - Structural Analysis to join our team at Northrop Grumman. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for analyzing, researching, and developing structural engineering analysis packages involving metals, non-metallic, or composite structural materials for product design or operation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze and develop structural engineering analysis packages for product design or operation
  • Research and develop new methods and techniques for structural analysis
  • Collaborate with senior engineering team members to develop solutions to complex problems
  • Communicate effectively with internal management and customer representatives
  • Evaluate engineering products for conformity to standards, procedures, and specifications
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in a STEM field with 5+ years of engineering experience or MS in STEM field with 3+ years of experience
  • Active DOD Secret clearance
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (SAP/PAR)
  • Experience in Structural Analysis Methods and documentation, and manipulation of large Finite Element Models
  • Experience working Material Review Board (MRB) statement of work
  • Experience in Bonded Composite Structural Analysis of primary and secondary aircraft structures
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience performing DaDt analysis on composite structure
  • Experience performing DaDt analysis on metal structure
  • Experience working on Special Access Programs
  • Experience working on military aircraft
  • Analysis experience in a MRB role
