Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Stormwater and Utilities Sr Project Manager to join our team at HNTB. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for managing assigned projects throughout their full lifecycle, including developing project scope and technical sections of proposal and procurement documents, participating in contract negotiations, and overseeing the delivery of the project plan to successfully accomplish HNTB's 4 for 4 performance: delivery of quality work, on time, on budget, and to the client's satisfaction on every project.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop project scope and fee quotation, and assist in the preparation of technical proposals and contracts in accordance with HNTB's Sophisticated Contracting Approach (SCA).
  • Serve as the primary client liaison and manage the project team to deliver the scope, schedule, and budgets to completion and to the client's satisfaction.
  • Perform technical discipline tasks, including analysis, reports, design, specification, and production for assigned projects.
  • Implement the firm's project delivery plan using HNTB's Sophisticated Delivery Approach (SDA) on each project.
  • Lead the development and execution of the project management plan, supervise and mentor team to overall project objectives.
  • Responsible for/oversees project staffing, including recruitment, development, retention, and succession of project staff, development of plan for project staff reporting, and support for performance and compensation reviews.
  • Partner with Client Service Leaders and pursuit champions to assist with business development, building client relationships, and pursuit efforts for mega and super mega projects in accordance with HNTB's Sophisticated Sales Approach (SSA).
  • May be responsible for the recruitment, hiring, development, and retention of staff, including development of plan for staff reporting, performance, and compensation reviews, and succession.
Requirements
  • 4 years of successful management of engineering projects.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Permitting experience, as design lead & presenter, with local, state, and federal authorities, related to stormwater and flood management.
  • Master's degree in Engineering.
  • 15 years relevant experience.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) certification.
  • American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) certification.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP).
