Job Description

Position Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide exceptional care to our patient in Newark, NJ.

Job Overview: As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with our facility, you will play a vital role in delivering comprehensive care and support to our patient with developmental disabilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide skilled nursing care and support to our patient in accordance with established care plans and protocols.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the healthcare provider.
  • Monitor and assess the patient's condition, including vital signs, respiratory status, and overall well-being.
  • Assist the patient with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, and mobility support.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Communicate effectively with the patient, family members, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of nursing assessments, interventions, and outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state of New Jersey.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working as an LPN in a healthcare setting, preferably with individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Must have experience with ventilation or respiratory patients.
  • Strong clinical skills and knowledge of nursing principles and practices.
  • Ability to assess and respond effectively to changes in the patient's condition.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Basic computer skills for documentation purposes.
