Propósito del Puesto:

Este puesto es responsable de desarrollar, implementar y gestionar proyectos de mejora de capital relacionados con instalaciones de agua, incluyendo actualizaciones de tratamiento de agua, estaciones de bombeo, tanques de almacenamiento, tuberías y otras instalaciones, así como mejoras de aguas residuales relacionadas con plantas de tratamiento de aguas residuales, estaciones de elevación y el sistema de recolección. Actúa como ingeniero de proyectos para adiciones y modificaciones de sistemas de agua y aguas residuales, colaborando estrechamente con el personal de la empresa para lograr una entrega exitosa del proyecto.

Responsabilidades Primarias:

  • Gestionar proyectos de capital anuales de $6 a $8 millones, incluyendo diseño conceptual/desarrollo, coordinación de pruebas piloto, desarrollo de planes de proyecto y aprobaciones de financiamiento interno.
  • Dirigir el desarrollo del proyecto, diseño (interno o externo) y construcción de proyectos de capital grandes y pequeños de acuerdo con las pautas de ingeniería y políticas de adquisición.
  • Asegurar que los estándares corporativos de Salud y Seguridad Ambiental se incorporen en las especificaciones de diseño.
  • Gestionar y reportar los gastos del proyecto para asegurar que estén alineados con el presupuesto y priorizar proyectos basados en la disponibilidad de fondos y evaluación de riesgos.
  • Coordinar con el departamento de planificación maestra para asegurar que la planificación de proyectos de capital cumpla con las necesidades del sistema a mediano y largo plazo.
  • Asistir en el desarrollo de análisis e informes para ser proporcionados a reguladores y clientes internos o externos según sea necesario.
  • Impulsar la eficiencia en la entrega del proyecto mediante el monitoreo de métricas de entrega y utilización de métodos alternativos de adquisición y entrega.
  • Gestionar permisos ambientales y gubernamentales en coordinación con el personal local de la unidad de negocio.
  • Participar en esfuerzos de planificación maestra de sistemas existentes y nuevas adquisiciones (agua y aguas residuales).
  • Proporcionar experiencia técnica en cuestiones de ingeniería y operativas y apoyar evaluaciones de condiciones de instalaciones para nuestras operaciones de agua y aguas residuales.

Entorno de Trabajo:

  • Los candidatos exitosos deben estar dispuestos a viajar a los diversos sitios de la unidad de negocio según los requisitos del trabajo.
  • Los sitios de trabajo generalmente se encuentran dentro de un radio de 30 millas de la oficina local.

Calificaciones:

  • Título universitario en Ingeniería Civil, Mecánica o Ambiental o campo relacionado; la experiencia equivalente puede ser considerada.
  • Mínimo 10 años de experiencia gestionando proyectos de diseño o construcción y 5 años de experiencia gestionando proyectos de agua/aguas residuales.
  • Experiencia liderando y gestionando equipos multifacéticos.

Conocimientos/Habilidades/Capacidades:

  • Fuertes habilidades de gestión de proyectos (iniciación, planificación, ejecución, monitoreo, control y cierre).
  • Conocimiento profundo de aplicaciones de procesos de agua y aguas residuales.
  • Excelentes habilidades de comunicación, presentación e informes.
  • Conocimientos de análisis financiero, incluyendo gestión de presupuestos de capital y evaluación de riesgos de proyectos.

Certificaciones/Requisitos:

  • Licencia de Ingeniero Profesional (PE) en NJ (para Ingeniero de Proyecto Senior).
  • Certificaciones PMP y/o en Gestión de Construcción son un plus.
