Job Description

Performance Contracting Group is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Associate Project Engineer to join our team in San Diego, California. As a key member of our project management and estimating team, you will be responsible for conducting safety meetings, creating and managing punch lists, and supporting our Quality Control Measures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct safety meetings and ensure a safe working environment
  • Create and manage punch lists to ensure project completion
  • Support Quality Control Measures and ensure compliance with QA/QC program
  • Prepare RFI's and submittals as required
  • Perform labor control on assigned projects, including setup and maintenance
  • Conduct quantitative takeoffs for material ordering
  • Support the implementation of the job schedule
  • Coordinate warranties and O&M's
  • Material coordination with purchase orders and invoicing

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, or Construction Science, or comparable work experience
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
  • Clear understanding of specifications and drawings
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to learn new job skills and apply them as taught
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure
